Dr. Bernd Weber

Founder & Director
EPICO KlimaInnovation - Energy & Climate Policy & Innovation Council e.V.
Dr Bernd Weber is the founder and managing director of EPICO KlimaInnovation. Previously, he headed the Industry, Energy and Environment Division of the Business Council, where he worked from 2015 to 2020. With the European Energy Lab 2030, he founded and led for four years an agile energy policy think tank composed of 60 personalities from politics, business and science. Before that, he worked for the European Commission in Brussels in the Directorate-General for Trade. Dr Weber holds a PhD in European energy and climate policy from Sciences Po Paris and the University of Oxford. He is a member of the faculty of the College of Europe, where he teaches on EU energy policy.


Sandra Reus

Sandra Reus studied law at the Martin Luther University Halle/Saale. After working at the Chair of European and International Law there and in various law firms, she moved into the business world. From 2003 to 2008, Sandra Reus represented the thyssenkrupp Group in Brussels as Public Affairs Manager. In 2008, she moved to thyssenkrupp Steel Europe in Duisburg as Senior Expert Environmental Policy. Since November 2011, she has been responsible in Duisburg for positioning the company on climate policy issues. In recent years, she has focussed in particular on the company's political and strategic orientation in the context of European emissions trading. Since 2021, she has held the overall management of climate policy within the CEO's Government & Regulatory Affairs staff unit and advises the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG on all climate policy issues. Since the end of 2022, Ms Reus has also headed the Climate Policy Working Group at the Federation of German Industries (BDI).
Adam Pradela

CFO Corporate Sustainability
DHL Group
Adam Pradela has been CFO Corporate Sustainability, DHL Group, since March 2024. In this cross-divisional function, he bundles all sustainability activities in the financial area with the aim of integrating environmental and social issues more closely into the company's operational processes. Since joining DHL Group in 2002, he has worked as regional CFO at various European locations and was most recently responsible for Corporate Accounting, Reporting & Controlling at DHL Group. After graduating in business administration from the University of Cologne in 1989, Adam Pradela held senior finance positions at multinational companies such as Unilever, Pepsi-Cola and Tetra Pak in Germany and Switzerland. He is a member of the Transition Implementation Group of the International Sustainability Standards Board.


Sandra Lorenz

ROSSMANN
Sandra Lorenz is a member of the ROSSMANN Group Management Board and has been responsible for the success of ROSSMANN's own brands since 2006. In 1989, for example, the Hanover native worked in retail as a sales assistant at H&M. In 1993, Sandra Lorenz joined ROSSMANN as a product range manager for A-brands and from then on was responsible for more and more product areas in purchasing. In 2002, she studied business administration and deepened her intercultural expertise with a stay abroad at AS Watson in Hong Kong. In addition to the extensive expansion of the Rossmann brands in Germany, she has built up the international sales of Rossmann Private Label in Switzerland, China and Korea. Sandra Lorenz has been a member of the ROSSMANN management team since 2013 and, together with her team, has been shaping the Rossmann brands with great attention to detail.
Enrico Eberlein

Political Economist, Transformation Researcher, & Sustainability Scientist
Enrico Eberlein has been a member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank's Eastern Region since 2008 and co-founder of Green Branches, an innovative concept for the sustainable transformation of bank branches, in 2020. As host of the #5nach12 podcast, he focuses on solutions and offers inspiring guests from science, business and politics a platform for sustainable ideas. He is passionately committed to social and economic transformation - as a supporter, impact investor, SDG ambassador for a global education project for children and young people and as the initiator of a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainable solutions for the future. Enrico Eberlein is active on LinkedIn as a committed voice on the topics of transformation and democracy.


Dr Nadine Sterley

Dr Nadine Sterley is a fully qualified lawyer and has held various management positions at GEA since 2016. Since 2021, as Chief Sustainability Officer, she has been systematically expanding the sustainability area of the MDAX company with the aim of positioning the company as an ESG market leader in mechanical engineering. Nadine was significantly involved in the comprehensive integration of sustainability issues into the corporate strategy. Since then, GEA has been pursuing one of the most ambitious climate strategies in the industry. The group is represented in the leading sustainability indices DAX 50 ESG, Dow Jones Sustainability Europe and MSCI Global Sustainability. She previously worked as a lawyer at a major international law firm, where she specialised in sophisticated transactions.
Prof Dr Hubertus Bardt

Professor Dr Hubertus Bardt studied Economics and Business Administration in Marburg and Hagen and received his Doctorate in Marburg. He has been at the Institute of German Economy Cologne since 2000. Hubertus has been the Managing Director of the Institute of German Economy Cologne since 2014, and Head of the Scientific Department. Since 2022, he has been an honorary professor at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.


Dr. Petra Wicklandt

Dr. Petra Wicklandt heads the Corporate Sustainability, Quality & Trade Compliance division at the Merck Group. In this role, she is responsible not only for sustainability but also for regulatory compliance at the corporate level. Additionally, she oversees the areas of security, cybersecurity, and crisis management. Previously, Petra Wicklandt led Corporate Affairs, covering sustainability, bioethics, digital ethics, politics, and global health. She also has extensive experience in chemical and pharmaceutical development as well as pharmaceutical manufacturing. Petra Wicklandt joined Merck in 1994 from DuPont Pharma, where she worked in Medical and Scientific Information. She is a pharmacist and earned her doctorate in pharmaceutical technology from Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.
